Professional Background: I attended the University of La Verne where I earned a masters degree in Clinical Psychology and a doctorate degree in Clinical-Community Psychology. I interned at City of Hope National Medical Center (Duarte, CA) where I saw children with hematology and oncology medical diagnoses and adults with various chronic illnesses: oncology, diabetes, transplants (islet, bone marrow), obesity and those undergoing gastric bypass surgery. I completed a fellowship at CHOC Children’s Hospital (Orange, CA) where I worked with oncology patients and their families from newly diagnosed through long-term survivorship (2-25 years of age). I then accepted a full time position as a pediatric psychologist at CHOC Children’s Hospital for twelve years.  While I was working at CHOC I started this small private practice nine years ago where I’ve dedicated my time to patients between the ages of 17-70 years of age.

Expertise: I developed expertise in working with clients whose concerns were primarily associated with pain, anxiety, depression, and conversion disorders. I have also helped parents struggling with how best to support their late adolescents transition into young adulthood.
